When did 2L Coca Cola bottles go from being contoured back to the regular look?
I don't drink Coca Cola, but the subject came up during a discussion in class today. Someone mentioned that in 1994, they redesigned all the plastic bottles to be contoured similar to the original glass bottles as part of a brand recognition campaign. I can vaguely remember this as being true, and I can recall from time to time seeing contoured 2L bottles.
However, the other night I went to the store to pick up some snacks for Grey Cup, and I looked at the Coca Cola products while I was in the ailse. The 710ml and smaller bottles were contoured, but the 2L bottles were not.
I'm curious when and/or why this may have changed, and if it just in Canada, or global.
i'm not positive, but I believe in the US, there are both contoured and non contoured.
All 2 L are not contoured. The smaller bottles I've seen both. Or was it another soda...not sure.
